TUPELO - Soccer games don't just happen. Somebody has to take the soccer ball to the field. "It gets their attention out there in the Sportsplex," Leigh Ann Mallory, 32, said of the over-sized ball used in the city's Top Soccer league.

Not everyone has the stuff it takes to become an Eagle Scout. Michael Kalloch, 16, stepped up to the challenge this past year with his efforts to make the new picnic shelter on the Little Muddy Bridge more visitor friendly.
