About 15 years ago, Paul Downs bought a model train set while shopping at the old Galleria in downtown Louisville. The Galleria has since been replaced by 4th Street Live, but Downs' passion for miniature railroading has not faded. He jokes that his wife never imagined a $20 initial purchase would turn into a full-blown pastime.
